Regina González is a Mexican actor based in New York City. Her work spans across languages and mediums, acting in film and theater productions both in English and in Spanish. She began her career in the arts as a musical theater actor in a Spanish-language production of The Lion King at the Teatro Auditorio Charles Chaplin in Guadalajara, Mexico, followed by performances in Hairspray, and Beauty and the Beast. Regina moved to New York to attend The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute’s two-year conservatory program where she was awarded both the Eleanora Duse Scholarship and the Vincent D’Onofrio Award in recognition of her talent and potential as an actor. As a screenwriter, her films focus on themes of female empowerment, the relationship between cause and consequences, and the lyrical environment of dreams. Her latest projects include the short films “Crazy Pete” which just premiered at The Chelsea Film Festival 2024 and "El Pumita" which is soon to have its world premiere. Currently, Regina just came back from Italy where she performed in Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull" as Nina. Outside of her work in the arts, Regina also loves reading, trying new food, and is a teacher, having taught at a primary school level for several years.
